The extension is designed to fill [Cases] with additional parameters (hereinafter referred to as Characteristics) of various types of data, depending on the Service selected in the [Case].

For example, in order to create a case for the service of including a new User in a group mailing list, it is necessary to specify data on the justification for the reason for inclusion, the IP address of the PC, and the date of inclusion in the mailing list. At the same time, this information is necessary only when creating Case for this Service. The extension allows you to create the Characteristics of the required data types and bind them to the corresponding service for further use.

For a convenient search for lookups necessary for tuning, the [Dynamic characteristics] group has been created in the [Lookups] section.

Creating characteristics

To create characteristics, you need:

• Add the Case and Service pages to the [Object-specific form page interface in the Freedom and Classic UI shell]:
• Display the [Cases] and [Services] sections in the classic workplace;
• Go to [System Designer];
• Open the [Lookups] section;
• Find and open the [Characteristics] lookup;
• Create records of the required characteristics.

Lookup record

A lookup record consists of the following elements:

• Name: arbitrary name of the Characteristic;
• Value type: reference field indicating the type of the Characteristic. Contains the following values for selection:
  • Select from a list;
  • Date;
  • Fractional number;
  • Boolean;
  • Lookup;
  • String;
  • Integer.
• String type: reference field. Must be specified when selecting value type - String. Contains the following values for selection:
  • String (50 characters);
  • String (250 characters);
  • String (500 characters);
  • String of unlimited length.
