To set up a section's approval, go to the [Studio] workplace, open the [Configuring section approval] section.

The registry displays a list of sections that have the basic approval functionality enabled.

The page consists of several functional areas:

• General information block (1):

  • Section;
  • Active.

• [Settings] tab:

  • Setting up basic columns of the object (2).

  • Setting statuses (3).

  • Сancel approving process (4).

    The action to cancel the approval process is available to users whose data or role is specified in the settings of the rights to the operation from the [Operation rights] field.

    

    • Operation rights: a system operation that controls the availability of the cancel approval process action.
    • Allow also owner: controls whether the action to cancel the approval process is available to the responsible employee specified in the [Owner] field.

    In the section approval settings card ([Cancel the approval process] operation) or to the initiator, if the checkbox [Allow also owner] is set.

  • Record status in the section approval setting (5).

General information setting up

• Section: the name of the section in which the approval is enabled. Not available for editing.
• Active: controls the activity of the approval functionality within a section.

Basic columns setting up

Fill the fields:

• Owner: an object column that indicates the author of the entry or its owner. The default value is [Created]. Used as a approval initiator.
• Name entity column: string column of the object. Basically, a field can specify an object column that is used as the display value. Used as the display value in the [Tasks for approval] section.
