To integrate the Zabbix IT infrastructure monitoring system and the System, an API with the JSON-RPC 2.0 protocol is used and it consists of a set of separate methods.

This integration uses two methods:

• host.get: allows getting hosts according to set parameters. The host is a networked device that you want to monitor, with IP/DNS.
• event.get: allows getting events according to set parameters. An event is a single occurrence of something that deserves attention such as a trigger changing state or a discovery/agent autoregistration taking place.

Connection setup

The connection setup is configured in the [Zabbix events] section. This section is located in the [Service] workplace.

To configure the connection, do the next steps in the System:

1. Go to the [Service] workplace, open the [Zabbix events] section and select [Open connection settings] from [Actions] menu item.

   

2. Open the existing [Zabbix] record.

As a result, the connection setup editing page is opened.

Fill the fields of the record:

• Name: specify the name of the connection setting.
• Server URL: specify the location of the resource in the network.
• Login: specify the username which accesses the resource.
• Password: enter the specified user’s password.
