Set up Basic information
To create an approval route, follow these steps:
- Open the Approval route setup section.
- Click the New button.

On the record page that opens, fill in the following fields:
- Name: Enter the name of the approval route, used only within the settings section.
- Section: Specify the section to which this route will be connected. For example, if the chosen section is Documents, the user will be able to start this route only within the Documents section.
- Notes: Provide a description of the route and its purpose.
- Active: Indicate whether this route is active. If the route is not active, it cannot be started, even if a record meets the route conditions.

Set up Settings
Filtration
By default, the Approvals button will be available on every record page within the chosen section. To control its availability, the user can specify the conditions that a record must meet for the button to be displayed.
To specify the conditions under which the Approvals button will be available, follow these steps:
- Open the Approval Route Setup section and select the record you are interested in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
